Health checks reveal hidden suffering

Assisting parents with learning difficulties

Over the past ten years there has been a marked growth in the number of parents with a learning difficulty in Ballarat. This can be attributed to factors such as; de-institutionalisation, increased acceptance of the rights of people with disabilities to have children, and the presence of the Ballarat special school where many couples meet.
