Recording ATSI status in your clinical software
According to the RACGP Standards for General Practices 4th edition, practices need to demonstrate that they are routinely recording the ATSI status in the patient health record. Is your practice compliant?
We developed a template ATSI background self-identification policy for use by practices. It is available on our Aboriginal health page under the heading “Practice resources”.

Notes added 20/12/2011:
- The ATSI status will be blank by default
- Ethnicity field will remain unchanged for selecting Other ethnicity Values (In Medtech32 user is able to add or delete Ethnicity codes based on their requirement)
- Once the ATSI status value is recorded user will be able to Register for CTG Co –Measure Relief
