Hi Meaghan,
My daughter, Jessica, is 22 years old and has a mild intellectual disability. She is extremely shy and her inability to use her voice holds her back at both work and socially. She has a beautiful voice, good pronunciation and grammar, and is very capable of using her voice at home or with family. She just doesn’t use it out of her comfort zone.
My query is whether speech pathology might help her to project and use her voice away from home. I look forward to hearing from you.
