Self esteem building for adults
People with low self esteem start a story about themselves that they repeat over in their minds. They then believe this to be the truth about themselves. At Ballarat Community Health we run a self-esteem program for adults called “Build It! Self Esteem”.

About the program
Issues of self esteem can start at a very young age, and can be related to;
- personality
- experiences
- trauma
- abuse
- bullying
- missed opportunities
- rejection
- any other unresolved issues
Self esteem can either assist you to lead a healthy and fulfilling life, or it can stop you from participating in the world, or anywhere in between.
The Build It Self Esteem program offers people the opportunity to understand how their self esteem developed and to look at more realistic stories about themselves.
The program looks at how negative self esteem is maintained and reinforced by our thoughts, feelings and our behaviours. The program systematically works through the process of self esteem and assists people to change their thinking.
