Using CAT to identify outstanding Gardasil doses
The GP-based HPV vaccination program for women aged 18-26 is coming to an end. Practices need to identify patients who have only had 1 or 2 doses NOW!
Only women in this age group who commenced the vaccination program prior to 30 June 2009 are entitled to further access to government sponsored vaccines – this access will cease on 30 December 2009.

Once patients have been identified, go to the National Online HPV Register (you must be registered and have a password) to ensure the course has not been completed at another practice.
If it has, update your clinical software – enter doses as having been supplied by another provider.
If it hasn’t, follow your normal recall/reminder policy.
