Now open: UB psychology services clinic
UB Psychology Services Clinic is a new venture being undertaken by the University of Ballarat. This service will offer, at no cost to the individual, psychological assessment and treatment for adults aged 18 years and older who are experiencing mental health problems.
The Clinic will be staffed by:
Clinic Director – Dr Mari Molloy
Mari is a registered Clinical Psychologist and full member of both the Australian Psychological Association and the College of Clinical Psychology. Mari is a part time private practitioner specialising in anxiety, depression, trauma, suicide and personality disorders.
Mari has previously worked in the public mental health sector for a number of years where she was involved in program development and evaluation, clinical training and supervision and direct clinical work.
In addition to her private practice, Mari currently holds the positions of Director of the UB Clinic and Clinical Supervisor of Post Graduate Clinical Psychology Training within the School of Behavioural Social Sciences & Humanities (Psychology Department) at the University of Ballarat
Clinic Manager – Dr Colleen Lovell
Colleen Lovell is a Counselling Psychologist who is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the College of Counselling Psychologists. She is a part time private practitioner and has been working with clients in a collaborative framework that involves general practitioners, mental health and general nurses.
Colleen’s areas of specific interest include working with clients presenting to GPs with anxiety and depression. She also supervises rural counsellors working within farming communities and has a strong interest in providing clinical supervision to rural and remote practitioners.
In addition to her private practice, Colleen also holds a the position of lecturer and Clinical Administrator within the School of Behavioural Social Sciences & Humanities (Psychology Department) at the University of Ballarat
Provisional Psychologists
Provisional psychologists who are currently undertaking specialist training within the University of Ballarat Clinical Masters Program will also provide psychological services within the clinic. At any time up to 4 provisional psychologists will be engaged in the clinic.
All work undertaken by the provisional psychologists is overseen and supervised by the Clinic Director and Clinic Manager
