We're currently embarked on a joint project to help increase Pap screening rates in the Grampians district.
Our region now officially has the worst Pap screening rates in the state.

Grampians: 56.3%
56.3% of Grampians region women were screened in 07-08. A lot of work in the area is needed to reach the national average of 70%!

Sandy Anderson from Women's Health Grampians recently presented to our nurses on cervical screening and practice nurses. Interested practice nurses can learn how to become a nurse Pap test provider.
Breast screening
Breast screening is recommended and free for women 50 and over every 2 years. Women concerned about changes to their breast should make an appointment to see their GP.
